John McMillan, President, called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Gene Veler.

Since the minutes of the last meeting were posted online, John McMillan made a motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes, which was seconded by Mike Schuler.

Mary Wright read the treasurer's report. Balance on hand as of 11/15/08 was $1,096.76. Joe Nicolella made a motion to accept the treasurer's report, which was seconded by Mike Schuler.

Health and Welfare Report:

Dianne Zimmerman had knee surgery on her other knee and seems to be doing well.

Gene Veler is going to have knee surgery, probably next April.

Harry Weakley is having some more problems with his health.

Committee reports:

Mike Schuler gave an update on the Rally. They had a copy of the design for the Rally Logo. Also, Leigh Anne presented a copy of a coupon book which they are thinking about for the different venues. John McMillan is working on a sheet of the different levels of sponsorship that will be offered. Mike & Leigh Anne will be putting the rally information on line for everyone to view.

Wagonmaster report:

Mary Ann Moyer had the sign up book available; she asked that you think about 2009. March and July are still open for 2009.

Unfinished Business:

John McMillan will speak with McGeorge after Thanksgiving about sponsoring a meeting in Shenandoah Valley for March or April. It will be discussed further at the December meeting.

New Business:

Brenda McMillan proposed for a club donation be made to the Central Food Bank for Christmas and Pat Veler suggested a donation to Madeline's House (for abused women). A motion was made by Mary Wright and seconded by Mike Schuler that $150.00 be given to each charity.

Mary Wright proposed to change the Constitutional Amendment to collect member dues from September 1st to July 1 st . A motion was made to accept the due date by Mike Schuler and seconded by Gene Veler. You all will receive a copy of the proposed change in the mail. This issue will be voted upon at the January 2009 meeting.

The amendment will read as follows:

ARTICLE XI, Section 13 - ARTICLE VIII, Section 1, shall be changed to read: The fiscal year of the Chapter shall begin July 1 of each year and end the following June 30. The pro-rata dues for members in good standing the first fiscal year after adoption will be 75%.

Further, ARTICLE IV, Section 2B, as amended by ARTICLE XI, Section 7, shall be changed by inserting the words "July 1" for the words "October 1".

State Advisory Board Suggestions:

The State Charity this year will be Victory Junction, web site www.victoryjunction.org .

It was voted that the State Advisory Board will stand as is, and not be done away with.

The Board also voted that the Rally Master each year will decide whether they want to have a Rally Pins, but either way, there will be some type of memento for everyone to bring home.

The design for the 2009 State Rally was won by Mike and Leigh Anne Schuler.

Motorhome Experiences:

Harold and Mary Anne Moyer's had a string come out of their day/night shade and was wondering if anyone knew of a local place that would fix it.

Gene Veler had a problem with his motorhome not shifting out of park at the October campout. He spoke with the towing company and they said to turn the key on but do not start the engine, then shift into neutral and start the engine.
