Seven coaches arrived early on Thursday to set up tents for the weekend campout and socialize. The remaining six coaches came on Friday, including the family guests of the Woolards and potential new members, the Zimmermans. It was a rather hot weekend, but the instant canopies and fans helped keep everyone cool.

Friday evening the group enjoyed happy hour and a hot dog dinner with home made chili.

Saturday morning everyone gathered for a delicious breakfast casserole with fruit. Unfortunately, Frank and Shirley Dance suddenly had to leave early that morning. Frank was suffering with an irregular heartbeat, so Shirley took him to the hospital. After receiving shock therapy, he was feeling better in the afternoon and would have to stay there until at least Monday.

After breakfast, the meeting was held. After the meeting, many headed to the pool to cool off. The pool area at Pocahontas is enormous and felt great on a hot day. Some of the other members left to go to the hospital to check on Frank.

At three pm, everyone brought a dish for happy hour and played some games. The sky opened up and dumped some well needed rain on us. Thank goodness for the pop up tents, we were able to stay fairly dry. The rain stopped just in time for a great barbeque dinner with all the trimmings. After dinner, a long game of Pass the Trash was played, well into the dark.

Sunday morning everyone gathered for breakfast and goodbyes. The next campout will be at Rainbow Acres. Visit the website for the agenda and directions.
