DOGWOOD WINNIES NEWS
BETHPAGE CAMPGROUND
URBANNA, VA
APRIL 21-23, 2006

It was a very wet weekend at Bethpage.

Everyone met Friday afternoon at 5 for the social at the back porch overlooking the river. Nice view, but quite soggy as it rained all evening. The Youngs and Harmons provided a delicious Barbeque dinner around 6. The party broke up early as the weather was not good for sitting outside.

Saturday morning, a delicious breakfast of pancakes and sausage was served. After breakfast the club meeting was held. Boyd and Shirley Johnson drove in for the day. After the meeting, some of the group went back up to the pavilion to play cards and chat. A huge storm came in and drenched the campground all day.

Happy hour was held at 3, followed by a pot luck dinner at 6. We all sang happy birthday to Dan and Cornelia and ate birthday cake. Old members Jim and Marily Chase, who have a permanent camp at Bethpage, came and joined the gang after dinner and got caught up on all the news.

Sunday morning, everyone met for breakfast and said their good byes until May. Thank you to the Youngs and Harmons for hosting.
