| DOGWOOD'S NEWS MISSIVE Misty Mountain Campground Greenwood , VA October 14-19, 2008 By Sue Nicolella
We had a large turnout for our October campout at Misty Mountain . Several members arrived on Thursday to enjoy the fall foliage and get fresh apples. Friday evening we had a social hour and celebrated Frank & Shirley Dances' 60th wedding anniversary. On Saturday morning we had a wonderful breakfast followed by our chapter meeting. Ben and Donna Blanks were voted in as new members. Afterwards, several members went out to enjoy the area while others relaxed and sat around a campfire and caught up on everything. Later that afternoon everyone met for a happy hour followed by a dinner and a game of pass the trash. Sunday morning we meet for breakfast and then got ready to leave. The next meeting will be at Misty Mountain for the State Meeting on November 14-16. Thank you to our hosts the Boyettes and Velers for hosting a great weekend. John McMillian
