| DOGWOOD WINNIES MINUTES Cozy Acres Campground Those Present Were: George & Linda Bakos Marilyn Chambers John & Brenda McMillan Harold & Mary Anne Moyer Joe & Sue Nicolella Mike & Leigh Anne Shuler Doug & Diane Stansbury Gene & Pat Veler Harry & Dona Weakley Tom & Betty Lou Woolard Leroy & Mary Wright Frank & Diane Zimmerman John McMillan, President, called the meeting to order. Instead of the pledge of Allegiance, we sang America the beautiful while Marilyn Chambers played her violin. Since the minutes of the last meeting were posted online, John McMillan made a motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes, which was seconded by Harry Weakley, motion carried. There was one correction to the June minutes. Mary and Leroy Wright's anniversary on 8/29 was left off. Harold Moyer made a motion to accept the minutes of the last meeting, which was seconded by Tom Woolard, motion carried. Mary Wright read the treasurers report. Dona Weakley made a motion to accept the treasurer's report and was seconded by Linda Bakos, motion carried. Health and Welfare Report: Gene Veler is doing well still has some problems with his gout. Betty Lou is doing well. David Armstrong got sick on his way to Maine and had to return home when they reached Pennsylvania . Frank Dance has an eye Doctor Appointment at the end of the month is only able to see ½ out of one eye. Frank Zimmerman will be having surgery on September 8 th . Leigh Anne said she needed help with the banners, stuffing bags etc. after lunch. Brenda McMillan for the nominating committee said all officers agreed to stay for one more year. Wagonmaster report: Mary Anne Moyer reminded everyone of the upcoming campouts. Sept 18-20 th State Rally at Cozy Acres Campground Oct. 15-18 th Bill Plemmons – will be free this year Oct. 23-25 th - Paradise Lake Family Campground. Nov. 13-15 -Thousand Trails in Glouster , VA - $60.00 will have to be sent to Ron Colbow Peninsula Winnies so he can make the reservations. Click here for info and registration form Dec. to be announced Unfinished Business: None New Business: John McMillan made a motion to vote Doug and Diane Stansbury as new members. Harold Moyer seconded, motion carried. John McMillan made a motion that the current chapter officers for next year will remain the same. Dona Weakley made a motion to accept which was seconded by Mike Schuler. State Advisory Board Suggestions: Harold Moyer said the want to change the State Rally from September to April starting in 2011. The State is going to have a committee to study. Thank hosts: Nicolella's and Woolard's Cost for host charges: There was no cost for the weekend. Motorhome Experiences: Harold Moyer's LP gas detector went off this morning, so they turned off the propane until they can look at. Gene Veler said to try to dry out the crystals with a hairdryer because sometimes they fill up with moisture. Pate Veler said that in RV View Magazine if you are on certain types of medicines (mostly heart medicine) you might not be able to smell propane. Harry Weakley's air conditioner went out and they had to have it repaired.
