Committee reports:

Nominating committe:
The nominating committee announced the nominations for the new slate of officers. Gene Veler asked for nominations from the floor three times as the names were read. The names were:
President - Mike Schuler
Vice President - Cornelia Mills
Secretary - Leigh Anne Schuler
Treasurer - Duncan Mills
Harold Moyer made a motion to close the nominations, seconded by Gene Veler. The slate was accepted by acclimation.

Mike Schuler appointed Linda Bakos and Mary Anne Moyer to audit the books prior to the next meeting. Both accepted.

Decorating Committee:
Donna Preissner announced that we have 84 completed models, and she did a show and tell of some of the completed pieces. She passed out the remaining models for people to take home and finish since there was no time at this campout. They are looking good! The Rally master suprised us with announcing that we would also be in charge of the Arts and Crafts contest. Since no one in our group was familiar with handling this, we need input. If anyone in the club has done this before, please contact Leigh Anne.

Unfinished Business:
The issue of the uniform has been closed. Leigh Anne Schuler read some emails from angry club members (names withheld). After much discussion, the group concluded that this was not in our best interest to continue to discuss. It had been brought up before and then closed, so there was really no need to continue to debate. Duncan Mills felt that it would end up dividing the group and it was not worth it. Linda Bakos made a motion was made to drop the subject, motion seconded and carried.

Gene Veler had gathered some information on renting storage units for RV's in Powhatan, and the information was presented for those who might be interested.

New Business:

Mary Anne Moyer made a motion to donate $25 to the State Rally for a doorprize, seconded by Harold Moyer. Motion carried.
Harold Moyer suggested that the wagonmaster let the group know in advance who is coming to the campouts. He said that in the past, a list was usually sent with an updated schedule by email. The wagonmaster will send the schedule and list to the secretary, who will email it out upon receipt.

Announcements:
The Dogwoods will celebrate their 25th anniversary at the Rally. Linda Bakos will provide a cake, and everyone is asked to bring a bottle of champagne. The celebration will take place late afternoon on Saturday.

Wagonmaster Report:

The September campout will be the Rally at Holiday Trav-L-Park in Va Beach September 21-23. The Dogwoods are in charge of table decorations.
The following have signed up for the rally:

Schuler
Mills
Moyer

Nicollela

The October campout will be hosted by Mac Parrish and Candy Swanson at American Heritage in Williamsburg the 19th-21st. More info to follow by email. The November campout will be a state campout, November 9-11 at
Cozy Acres in Powhatan.

Advisory Board Suggestions:
none

Motorhome Experiences:
Duncan Mills was having problems with his navigation system not working. Gene Veler said as he was coming across 295, his outside right mirror fell out. He was able to fix it.
George Bakos also had a mirror fall out while driving. His luck wasn't much better when he arrived at the campground and his sewer hose came off. It was a scene straight out of the movie "RV", as he had to get hosed down after the fiasco.

50/50 winner: none

Betty Lou Woolard made a motion to adjourn the meeting seconded by Tom Woolard, motion carried.

Respectfully submitted,

Leigh Anne Schuler
Secretary
