Unfinished Business:
For the 2009 rally, Mike Schuler made up a sign up sheet for volunteers to fill in their names and passed it around. Mike, Dan Young and Mary Wright will visit Cozy Acres in July to talk to them. Mary and Leigh Anne were feeling that after attending the FMCA rally at RIR, that might be a bit too expensive for our group.
New Business:
The bill for the yearly website was due and it came up for a vote. Joe Nicolella made a motion to keep the website and was seconded by Mary Wright. Dan asked for a discussion regarding finding advertisers. Mary Wright offered to contact Rolling Hills and Safford for advertising and Dan Young said he may be able to get advertising from his company. Linda Bakos renewed her ad for the year at the meeting. Thanks Linda!
The vote to continue the website was passed.
Because of the mis-communication on the number attending the campout this weekend, it was suggested that we have a cut-off date for letting the hosts know they are coming. The cut off would be one week before the campout so that the proper amount of food could be bought. Also, it was suggested that on the signup sheets, we have an area for definite NO's, so they can automatically be ruled out.
The Wrights provided a screen room that came in handy for the campout this weekend. Gary Harman made a motion to investigate purchasing our own screen room for the club. Joe Nicollela seconded the motion. Gail Young made an amendment to the motion to cap the cost at $150. The discussion got a little confusing. Duncan Mills re-iterated the motion to try and clear it up. If we could find a screen room for $150 or less, we would buy it. If over $150, we would discuss it. Everyone agreed except one. While discussing the situation, Myra went online and found one at Amazon and was able to get for less than $150, so we went ahead and ordered it and that discussion was over.
