Committee reports:
Nominating committee has no new report.
No new report from quartermaster.
Wagonmaster Report:
During the RV show, it was discussed to try and have a campout in March if we could find a campground open. Sue Nicolella and Leigh Anne Schuler went and talked to some of the campgrounds that were set up at the show. They found a new place called R&D Campground that is nearby and open. So they went ahead and scheduled a campout for the weekend of March 14-16. Both the Nicolellas and Schulers will host. More info to come by email.
The April meeting will be held at the NC State Rally, hosted by the Youngs. Visit www.northcarolinawit.org to find out more on the rally. Tonight is the deadline to give checks to the Youngs to send in.
The May meeting will be a State Meeting, on May 16-18 th at the Pottery. More to come.
Unfinished Business:
We have to decide on the theme and place for the 2009 rally. Mike Schuler has suggested Cozy Acres in Powhatan and plans to talk to the owner. He suggested a theme “Cruisin in the Country” which would combine the elements of taking a cruise with a country setting. We will discuss further.
New Business:
It was suggested that we take some of the vests with patches and make flags out of them to show off since we have a great collection. Cornelia will bring ideas to the March meeting so we can figure out what to do.
State Advisory board suggestions: none
Thank hosts The McMillans for the appetizers and dinner arrangements.
50/50
Mike Schuler won the 50/50 for $10.
Motorhome Experiences:
The Bakos are still having engine problems and will not be ready to camp yet.
Next meeting date:
March 14-16 th at R&D Campground. You do not need to make reservations, just let Sue or Leigh Anne know asap if you plan to attend so they can give a head count.
There being no further business, John McMillan made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Gail Young, motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Leigh Anne Schuler
Secretary
