Committee reports:

Mike Schuler was discussing information regarding the Rally for 2009. He has sign up sheets, and needs everyone's help to make it a success. Also, Leigh Anne is working on the logo for the rally pin, which will be put on the web site so you can vote on it.

The Rally dates for 2009 are September 18 – 20.

Wagonmaster report:

Mary Ann Moyer had the sign up book available; she asked that you think about 2009. We need to send in the list to WIT magazine soon.

Unfinished Business:

Mary Ann Moyer was sworn in to the office of Vice President.

New Business:

McGeorge wants to host our chapter for a free weekend. John McMillan will talk to him about it to make sure there are no strings attached.

Chapter dues for this year were due in September; if you have not yet paid please do so, as we have to send a check in for all our members. Mike Schuler picked up the items that Witt Freeman donated to us; they will make an itemized list of the inventory. There was a discussion of what we wanted to do with it to raise money for the club. Some ideas were to have an auction or a yard sale at the Rally.

Gene Veler made a motion to make Witt Freeman an Honorary Member, which was seconded by Mike Schuler.

State Advisory Board Suggestions:

John McMillan asked if anyone would be interested in being on the State Advisory Board. Harold & Mary Anne Moyer volunteered to be our representatives.

Thank hosts: Veler's and Boyette's

Cost per person was $9.50

Motorhome Experiences:

Harold Moyer had a blowout on his motorhome while traveling to the campground.

Gene Veler had a problem with his motorhome not shifting out of park and he said he just had to wiggle the steering wheel and it released.

Leroy suggested that if you tow a vehicle you should have a check list so you don't drive away with your vehicle in gear. There was a suggestion that you should probably do this for your coach as well.

John McMillan suggested that we add a Technical Update to this section. Joe Preissner said that he would have an occasional educational seminar.

Announcements:

We received a thank you letter from the Blue Ridge Winnies for our contributions to the state rally this year where 85 coaches attended.

Sue Nicolella, secretary, will write a letter to Witt Freeman stating he is now an Honorary Member of our chapter. Joe Nicolella will make a certificate up to send along with the letter. Also, a thank you note will be sent to Nancy Abbott for the donation of the vests which we made into a banner.

50/50 Winner: Betty Lou Woolard for $15.50

Next Meeting Date: State Meeting, November 14-16 at Misty Mountain Campground. Hosts will be the McMillan's.

There being no further business Harold Moyer made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Ted Boyette.

Respectfully submitted,

Sue Nicolella

Secretary
