Boyd Johnson, President called the meeting to order. Harold Moyer led the pledge of allegiance. A motion was made by Shirley Johnson to dispense from reading the minutes of the July meeting, motion carried.

Mary Wright was absent so Boyd Johnson read the treasurers report. A motion to accept the treasurer's report was made, motion carried.

Health and Welfare Report:
Gene Veler had a knee replacement and is reported to be doing ok.
Darlene Armstrong's mother had a heart attack and passed away Saturday.
The Bako's have a new grandaughter and went to NY to visit.
Former members Bob and Val Terry are also new grandparents.

Welcome New Members:
New members Ted and Annette Boyette were welcomed.

Wagonmaster Report:

The next campout will be the Rally at Thousand Trails in Rustburg, September 16-18. The Dogwoods are in charge of parking. Because of the layout of the campground, everyone will be asked to pick a spot and report back which site they are on. Dogwoods will try to camp together in the B loop. The group has been asked to furnish 3 cakes for the cakewalk. Please contact Boyd if you plan to bring a cake. The Wrights will be the hosts.

There will be another September campout on Labor Day weekend at Rockahock. We have 10 sites reserved. Please contact Harold Moyer if you plan to attend.

The October campout will be held at Bill Plemmons in NC from the 17th until the 23rd. Cost is $49 for the whole week and includes plenty of food. The Johnsons will be the hosts.

The November campout will be held at Cozy Acres in Powhatan on the 11th - 13th. This will be a state meeting. The Schulers will host.

Old Business:

The following members were nominated for officers for next year. Boyd Johnson - President, Harold Moyer - Vice President, Leigh Anne Schuler - Secretary and Cornelia Mills - Treasurer.

Boyd Johnson reported that he sent out 35 letters to prospective new members.

New Business:

Boyd Johnson met with the state presidents to discuss proposals to change the Bylaws for the state. The changes were discussed with the Dogwoods and all were approved. A copy of the proposals will be sent in a separate email.

The Dogwoods received the Chapter of Excellence Award and pins were passed out.

Motorhome Experiences:

Mike Schuler reported having trouble with his propane sensor. It was suggested that he blow off dust with a hair dryer. Joe Preissner offered to check the problem with his propane gas detector.

There being no further business, Shirley Johnson made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Dona Weakley, motion carried.
